I have been corresponding with Rachel by email, but found this facility attached to the actual product. Please advise what type of porcelain is used in these Judge Table Essential Bakers? Are they thermal shock resistant and can they go from freezer to oven to table? Is the external base glazed or stoneware style. Are the materials (porcelain, glaze, paint, logos) lead and cadmium free. Does the product leach lead or any other hazardous substances when it is heated and do you have any test results for this? Thank you.
It is a glazed porcelain, that dos have a thermal shock resistance of -25°C to 0°C to +300°C. The external base is glazed apart from the feet – as these are in contact with the kiln during firing. The product will not leach any material as it is sealed by the glazing, and yes we have test certificates to that effect.
